When going to any convention I am usually apprehensive when it comes to looking at Artists alley works. Simply because I have gotten into drawn out conversations and have been guilted into purchasing art from someone I have never heard of.
Brian Vander is no where near that situation. Imagine walking along a beach and finding a diamond in the sand as you pick it up, attached to it is a suitcase of a million dollars. That is how I feel about Brian Vander's art. His penciling by itself is magnificent with the perfect detailed shading and bolded outlining, not to mention the action he puts into his covers it is out of this world. I have seen great work in art and it takes a certain kind of artist to be able to tell a story with one single picture and Brian most definitely delivers. I can easily say that Brian Vanders work out shines many of the modern artists that are working for Marvel, DC and Other name Comic publishers. He is a very humble artist and doesn't mind taking the time to tell you how he came to be at where he is now in his art work. I implore anyone seeking good art for a great price to find out where he will be near you and make a trip to grab some of his works.
It wont be long until this artist is a big name and I for one look forward to seeing much more of the art he has to offer.
